LNG Terminal Project – Maharashtra

H-Energy is on advanced stage to commission India’s first FSRU (Floating Storage and Re-Gasification Unit) based LNG terminal project at Jaigarh Port, in Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra. The project is to be implemented in 2 phases. Phase – I consists of a jetty based FSRU of 4.0 MMTPA capacity. In Phase-II, a land based LNG terminal with an ultimate capacity of 8.0 MMTPA has been planned. This terminal will be implemented after the successful completion and stabilization of Phase-I. The LNG terminal at Jaigarh will connect to the national gas grid at Dabhol through a 60 km tie-in pipeline.
H-Energy has executed an agreement with a French company, Total for chartering its FSRU, CAPE ANN. The FSRU has a storage capacity of 1,45,000 m3 and is capable of reloading LNG onto other LNG vessels and providing bunkering services. The terminal is being developed in accordance with the highest international safety and engineering standards.

About Jaigarh Port

JSW Jaigarh Port is an SPV of JSW Infrastructure. It has entered into a concession agreement with the Government of Maharashtra. Currently, the port is fully operational with 2 berths, having a cargo handling capacity of 15 million tonnes per annum.

JSW Jaigarh Port is an existing all-weather deep water port which provides tranquil marine conditions for berthing LNG vessels up to Q-max size. The port has an existing breakwater which ensures continuous berthing operations throughout the year. The location of the LNG terminal thus provides significant benefits and flexibility to the customers; bringing in a wide range of vessels from the LNG carrier fleet.

H-Energy Gateway Private Limited has entered into a Port Service Agreement and Sub-Concession Agreement with JSW Jaigarh Port or Ratnagiri (JSW Port)-Jetty Based Berth for setting up an LNG regasification terminal at the Port.

Port Infrastructure and Facilities:

• All weather deep water port
• Short approach channel of 1.6 nautical miles
• Port is presently handling bulk cargo vessels upto Panamax capacities
• Draft of 14.1 m all along the approach channel, sufficient to handle Q-max size LNG vessels
• Breakwater of approximately 500 m length already constructed, providing sufficient tranquil conditions at the LNG berth
• Year-round operations with night navigation facilities available at the port

Port Responsibilities:
• Maintenance of breakwater
• Maintenance of approach channel, turning basin, LNG berth, Jetty Based Berth
• Capital & Maintenance dredging at approach channel, turning basin and LNG berth pocket
• Maintenance and operation of tugs
• Pilotage and Mooring
• Construction of LNG jetty sub-structure

Location

The LNG terminal project is located at JSW Jaigarh Port near Ratnagiri, Maharashtra. The Port is inside the Damankul Bay off the Jaigarh head. The Damankul Bay lies between latitudes 17° 18′ 00″ and 17°,18′ 18″ North and longitudes 73° 12′ and 73° 13′ East. The Port is located 55 KM from Ratnagiri district.

Jaigarh – Dabhol tie – in pipeline project

West-coast-tie-in-pipeline-project-01

The 60 km natural gas pipeline (Tie-in line) will connect Jaigarh LNG receiving terminal to two major natural gas pipeline networks, namely Dabhol-Bangalore Pipeline (DBPL) and Dahej-Uran-Panvel-Dabhol Pipeline (DUPL-DPPL) at Dabhol, Maharashtra. This pipeline will connect the Jaigarh LNG-receiving terminal to markets along these pipeline networks. In May 2015, the pipeline regulator (PNGRB) authorized H-Energy Gateway Private Limited to build and operate the pipeline.
